Ever thought about a practical use for jellyfish? We hadn’t either, until we met JellyCo founders Peter Chiarelli (aka ‘Jellyman’) and Kevin Mis Solval. It turns out that jellyfish are an ideal source of clean, safe, and sustainable collagen.
Nurtured and referred by the Innovation District at The University of Georgia, JellyCo came to us with the need to build a brand and web presence that would make a profound and immediate splash in the expansive collagen market.
Communicating the core benefits of jellyfish collagen as produced by JellyCo was a key component of our efforts. We worked to boil down complex scientific processes into something more digestible for a varied audience, while honing in on key attributes like sustainability and economic revitalization.
Visual brand was crucial. Jellyco needed an identity that would connect with both the scientific community (in the near term) as well as a consumer market (to serve their future vision). We opted for a simple, bold, and friendly icon that could integrate within the name and could stand on its own.
JellyCo’s web presence would become its primary marketing and communication tool, not to mention a vital first impression for potential customers and investors alike, so we had to get it right. Continuing to take cues from the simple, straightforward nature of the brand identity and messaging, we created a clean, open, and focused website that works to make the case for jellyfish as a superior collagen source, and JellyCo as not only the premier provider but the innovator as well.
